Compatibility & trust

Requires: A Mac with Apple silicon.
macOS: 26.3 or later.
Final Cut Pro: 12.1 or later.
FCPXML: Version 1.9 or later.
Timeline support: Primary-storyline timelines using standard clips. Multicam, compound clips, synced clips and titles in the timeline aren't supported yet — Scission refuses them with a clear message rather than processing them incorrectly.
Project length: Up to 45 minutes. A warning appears above 15.
Languages: English only.
Caption output: Native Final Cut titles, or SRT.
Fonts: Every font on your Mac.
Never leaves your Mac: Your video. The project is read locally, from FCPXML.
Leaves your Mac: The audio only, as a 16 kHz mono WAV, for transcription. Transcripts are deleted from the transcription service after each job.
